Site: Tyr204
Site Sequence: EHDHTGFLTEYVATRWYRAPE
Disease Category: Endocrine and metabolic diseases
Disease: Diabetes Mellitus
Disease Subtype: Endothelial dysfunction
Disease Cellline:
Disease Info:
Drug: resveratrol + SB203580
Drug Info: Resveratrol is a natural polyphenol with various health - promoting properties | SB203580 is a selective inhibitor of p38 mitogen - activated protein kinase.
Effect: modulate
Effect Info: "Resveratrol (an Erk activator) can increase Erk phosphorylation, as well as shear stress-induced endothelial nitric oxide synthase (eNOS) phosphorylation and activity in 9-month-old diabetic mice. However, resveratrol alone cannot improve shear stress-induced dilation (SSID). The combined use of resveratrol and the p38/JNK inhibitor SB203580 (or SP600125) can significantly improve SSID in 9-month-old diabetic mice, and the Erk inhibitor U0126 can block this improvement effect."
